Concentrated aroma flavored Sambuca. A sweet and pungent on the palate that leaves a pleasant and intense aroma of anise.

The original recipe for the liqueur Sambuca involves the use of alcohol, spring water, sugar high solubility, different combinations of star anise and distilled flowers of elderberry (Sambucus nigra). The original recipe of Sambuca probably originated from herbal tradition Certosina once known for alcoholic drinks and for medicinal preparations. As already said, the extract of elder flower white is one of the ingredients, but not the main. Someone also suggested that the name Sambuca comes probably from an Arabic term, Zammut. So it was called anise-based drink "landed" in the port of Civitavecchia on ships coming from the East.

Sambuca was marketed in the late nineteenth century by Luigi Manzi in Civitavecchia with the name of Sambuca Manzi in fact, still being produced today. It was then launched internationally by Angelo Molinari since 1945, with the war just ended, with the name of "Sambuca Extra Molinari."
